Buffy Anne Summers
Buffy
Anne Summers became a vampire Slayer in 1997 when she was 15. Her first watcher, Merrick taught her how to fight and kill
vampires, which, although she accepted her calling got her expelled from Hemery High. Buffy and her mum then moved to Sunnydale
where she met her new watcher, Mr Rupert Giles and made friends with Xander Harris and Willow Rosenberg and met the mysterious
Angel, who she later found out was a vampire with a soul, and fell in love with him. This ended badly when after sharing one
moment’s happiness with Buffy he lost his soul and returned to his old vampiric character, Angelus who was intent on
killing Buffy’s friends and family.
Angelus
murdered Jenny Calendar and she swore revenge. This revenge was cut shot due to the fact that she still loved Angel despite
his evil other side and when Angelus planned to send the whole world into hell she set out to fight him to the death. This
was come to an abrupt ending when Willow successfully attempted
to restore his soul and Angelus became Angel once more. She was to late however and was forced to send the re-ensouled Angel
down to hell. Buffy then left Sunnydale for LA after being expelled from Sunnydale High and after telling her mum who she
really was, the slayer.
After
Buffy found out she couldn’t escape who she was o she returned to Sunnydale and her friends. Here, after being readmitted
to Sunnydale High she met Faith. Back in The two initially fought side by side but jealousy of Buffy made Faith turn to the dark side. She teamed up with the evil Mayor Richard Wilkins III and the two plotted his Ascension on Graduation Day. After Faith
tried to assassinate Angel, who had returned from Hell tortured and confused then nursed back to health by Buffy, Buffy and
Faith fought, and Buffy stabbed Faith, putting her in a coma. Buffy then destroyed the Mayor and Angel left her, realising they could never have a normal life together as they
would always love each other and they would always put each other in danger.
Buffy went to college, UC Sunnydale where she
met Riley Finn, who was part of a secret Government experiment called the Initiative. She discovered
the Initiative had some secret military plan that ended with a creation of evil cyber demon who tried to create a new race
of demon-humans. Buffy, Xander, Giles and Willow combined their essence to create a super slayer. Then in Season 5 Buffy then received a sister
called Dawn, who was The Key, made into human form by monks to hide her from Glory. They shaped everyone’s memories to accommodate
Dawn. Buffy’s mother died suddenly, leaving her responsible for her sister’s welfare and to protect her from Glory
who wished to bleed her so she could return to her own dimension and spilling Hell on Earth. Riley left Buffy, as he realised she didn’t need him properly. Buffy then sacrificed herself to save the world when Dawn was in danger but Willow used a complicated resurrection spell to bring her back after thinking that Buffy was stuck in hell.
In season 6 Buffy revealed she was actually
in heaven. She became very depressed and started a disastrous secret affair with her old vampire nemesis Spike. Buffy eventually broke off her sexual relationship with Spike, as she was using him, but the two continued to work together. During this time Willow became hooked on
magic and became evil intent on showing Buffy she wasn’t just a sidekick. Willow tried to end the world but
Xander prevented it while Buffy and Dawn fought with demons Willow had conjured to make Buffy die fighting. Buffy realised that she no longer wanted to protect
Dawn from all evil but to show it to her and help her protect herself.
In
season 7 Sunnydale high opened again and Buffy had to contend with being the leader of all the potential slayers who were
trying to be wiped out by the First. Buffy saved the world and the slayer potentials by using Willow to cast a spell, which made every potential the real slayer meaning there was no longer a
Chosen One. Buffy was last seen fighting evil in Italy.
