Boromir, Son of Denethor, was destined to become the next Steward of Gondor when Denethor died. He and his brother, Faramir,
both had a dream about the fate of Minas Tirith, the Captial city of Gondor, and in this dream they were both told to seek
Rivendell. Denethor chose Boromir to go on this 'Quest' over Faramir. Once Boromir reached Rivendell he was chosen to represent
the race of men, along with Aragorn, in the Fellowship of the Ring.

Boromir set off to Mordor, never really realising that the Ring could only be used for Evil purposes and could only be
controlled by Sauron himself. Boromir, brought up with his father's ideas, also could never see Aragorn as the Rightful Heir to the Throne until the end of his life.

Boromir saw how deeply Gondor needed help in the War of the Ring and he pleaded with Frodo to lead him the ring so as
he could put Gondor right. When Frodo refused Boromir even went as far as to try and take the Ring from Frodo using force.
When Boromir had realised what he'd done and how he'd scared Frodo Boromir tryed to redeam himself by rescuing Pippin and
Merry from the Urak- Hai that attacked however the Urak- Hai were too many and Boromir died, overpowered and shot by too many
arrows.
As he died Boromir admitted to Aragorn everything telling him that he had tried to take the Ring, that the Urak-Hai had taken the 'little Ones' and that he knew
Aragorn was the rightful King.
Boromir is Played by Sean Bean.
